Description:
SEENGEN (Chlorantraniliprole 18.5% SC) is a synthetic insecticide that belongs to the anthranilic diamide class. It is based on an extract of the plant Ryania speciosa.
Mode of Action:
SEENGEN binds to a specific receptor in muscles called the ryanodine receptor. When Chlorantraniliprole binds to this receptor, it causes muscle cells to leak calcium. The muscles stop working normally, leading to paralysis and death of the insect.
