PROFENOPHOS 40% + CYPERMETHRIN 4% EC
DESCRIPTION: It is a combination product of organophosphorus (profenofos) and pyrethroid (cypermethrin) compounds used to control bollworm complex of cotton.
MODE OF ACTION: Profenofos is a potent inhibitor of acetylcholinesterase (disrupting nerve impulse transmission). Cypermethrin is a sodium-channel modulator causing hyperexcitation of nerves, convulsions and paralysis. The dual action produces strong synergistic control of target pests.

ANTIDOTE:
- Atropinize the patient immediately and maintain full atropinization with repeated doses of 2–4 mg atropine sulfate IV every 5–10 minutes as needed (total may reach 25–50 mg/day guided by symptoms).
- Dissolve 1–2 g of pralidoxime (2-PAM) in 10 ml distilled water and inject IV very slowly over 10–15 minutes.
- Antihistamines may be given for allergic manifestations.
